Jonathan C. Sullivan, Esq.

Jonathan was born and raised in a small rural farming community in Indiana.  Jonathan graduated cum laude from Franklin College in 2001 with a BA in Political Science.  After completing internships for former Indiana Governor Frank O’Bannon and U.S. Senator Evan Bayh, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina and began working as an estate planning paralegal for Cothran Law Office LLC.  While working full-time, Jonathan enrolled as a member of the first class at the Charleston School of Law, graduating in 2007.  Jonathan returned to the firm as an attorney and formed a partnership with his mentor Tom Cothran.

Jonathan’s practice is devoted exclusively to the areas estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration, and small business planning, as well as the gift and estate tax issues that flow from these areas.

Jonathan and his wife Dianne live in Mt. Pleasant where he is an active member of the East Cooper community, including having served as Past President of the Isle of Palms Exchange Club and Member of the Board of Directors for the Isle of Palms Connector Run; Jonathan is also a member of the Elks Lodge, former Board of Visitors for Charleston Southern University and Member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Additionally, Jonathan also dedicates many hours each year as a volunteer attorney for the One80 Place Homeless Justice Project.
